The New Stuff

NamFleG phone

Vertu becomes so “last year” when your eyes meet this gorgeous concept phone, designed by Marat Kudryavtsev and bearing the name of NamFleG. It’s a luxury handsets with a sexy curve at the back and gold highlights. It’s the keys that I don’t like that much, while the edges that surround the display aren’t at all a nice design option.
All in all, Precious metals but its looks aren’t shiny enough to hide the imperfections.

Watch Phone

Decent watch phones are one in a million, but one of those rare gadgets it the Speak To Me concept, designed by Nicolas Nicolaou. This stylish device is a wrist that also possesses mobile phone features and a touchscreen. Speak To Me also features vocal recognition and a scrolling function that allows you to switch between apps and options.

The concept watch phone also packs a camera, that allows the user to take photos and immediately send them to other devices. The on-screen icons of the handset show that it also comes with Internet support, email, Bluetooth and alerts. I wonder if it features an MP3 or video player and how much storage space is available…

1. Nokia Morph
Based on Nanotechnology, this concept will provide a flexible design, and will provide following opportunities for mobile phones.
  • Newly-enabled flexible and transparent material more seamlessly with the way we live
  • Devices become self-cleaning and self-preserving
  • Transparent electronics offering an entirely new aesthetic dimension
  • Built-in solar absorption might charge a device, whilst batteries become smaller, longer lasting and faster to charge
  • Integrated sensors might allow us to learn more about the environment around us, empowering us to make better choices

Instead of clicking an icon on a browser screen, you can walk outside, point your cell phone at an actual three-dimensional thing (presumably, a building that houses a business), click the phone, and get information about (or jump to the Web site of) whatever you were pointing at. As well as servers with Internet address, there will be servers with geographic coordinates.

2. Nokia 888
Nokia Presents 888 Communicator
Nokia 888 Communicator is a striking futuristic concept phone. The phone, which uses liquid batteries, speech recognition, flexible touchscreen and touch-sensitive body cover,is designed by Tamer Nakisci and won the Nokia Design Award.
Now, that is all for this post, hope you liked my post, Do comment on this one too just like you did my other post. I’ll be happy to hear from you guys, that will encourage me find more unique and amazing designs for you.
I’ll probably be posting other 10 concept designs in a day or two and those will be from Automobiles , just let me know how you like it.

3. Snaked

Benq designers thought of women too and presented Snaked. This is a “reptile” looking phone, creepy somehow, but still is very cool. The Snaked is a fashion phone for sport loving women, because it also has body monitoring sensors to help the ladies keep those fine shapes.

4. Nokia Aeon

Developed by Nokia's research and development team, this Nokia Aeon concept phone is about the most futuristic cellphone I've seen lately. Of course there are no specs for the Aeon yet, except that it has a "full surface screen", but it will probably do it all by the time it's released...say 2010 or so? Just guessing, but watch out Nokia, we might see some knock-off come out of China before that.

5.Sleek & Slim
Sleek & Slim” from SKY is another concept based on touch screen technology. The phone has a discretely glowing touchpad, hideaway keys and generally utterly-fashionable minimalist design
It Comes from Korea, and becomes the phone of the future.

6. What You See is What You Get Concept

One thing is for sure about this concept phone they could’ve named it shorter. Designed by Pei-Hua Hang, the phone’s name comes from the fact that this concept no longer uses an LCD as viewfinder for the digital camera . instead it uses a transparent frame. And of course, interaction is made through a touchscreen.

1 .The Conduit Mobile Phone

Designed by Tirshathah Hunter, the Conduit mobile phone is in fact three devices packed into a single shell: a PDA (with stylus), a cellphone with camera and a very slim handset. The design was created for SKY/Pantech, the Korean cellphone company that spawned so many original concepts over the years.
This can be considered a modular device, since it can switch its looks and functionality depending on the components you attach to it. When you’re using the standard slim phone, you’ll rely on voice commands and a scroll tool for calls and texting, since there’s no keyboard.
Notice the cool metallic look of the Conduit Phone, that’ll appeal to geeks and fashionistas alike, as if the phone was a splinter of the Pompidou centre, with the pipes resemblance and all.

2.KU stylish Phone

3D images, holograms tiny embedded projectors… this is what we get to see on the latest concept phones, that have gone way past the idea of a normal display or a touchscreen. Ilya Tkach created a neat concept phone, known as Ku! that uses a giant flexible OLED screen that can produce buttons and wipers by passing an electric current through the display.

The Ku! phone forms keys on the surface of the handset for particular apps and also supports feedback according to the user’s presses, imitating the analog control solutions. The OLED display is also an energy-saving one and the phone is quite ergonomic and comfortable to use.
At the back of the Ku! there’s a stand, used to place the device as an alarm clock, photo frame, even OLED lamp, if you want to be really fancy.

3.Color Rings

The BCK design team, including Vera Kade, Javier Bertani and Ezequiel Castro created a very original communication device, a phone accessory concept that includes a microphone and a headset. They are shaped like rings and placed on the fingers of the user.

You can wear the rings on the thumb and little finger, so they’ll connect wireless to your handset. In order to make a call you need to make the classic call sign with your fingers (point the thumb and little finger towards the ear and mouth, respectively) and it’ll work thanks to incorporated distance sensors.

4.Tuvie
The new concept from Mac Funamizu does take phone designing to the next level. Named as “Wild Fold”, the unique thing about this phone is that it can be folded in more ways than one. So whatever your mood or desire be, if you like the sleek, short, long or even flip design, all you need to do is fold the same in the manner you need and voila you have the phone of your choice! And what’s more, it also has the touch screen facility, so one need not scramble for buttons to dial. Just use this amazingly designed conceptual phone and dial your blues away.

5.The Packet Concept Phone

What you can see below is the Packet concept phone the winner of the Istanbul Design Week 2007, created by Emir Rifat ISIK. It’s a surprising device measuring only 5 x 5 cm (folded), which opens up to show its user 5 surfaces which include a keypad, 2 mini keywords touch sensitive buttons.
The handset is made out of some sort of e-paper, that’s touch-sensitive and makes the device extremely light and thin. It may also be made of Eco friendly , so we’ll be high tech and “green” at the same time, in case this design turns into a real phone.
